    Re: Yes & No...On Documentation

Me thinks that maybe in '46 when International Harvester built some heavy duty trucks with 12 V electrical systems.

        My story

I cant swear which version(S) (parts)were used on ALL Corvettes produced, no one can on all parts. That is a problem when dealing with C1's

When I do know I post pic's showing the differences , other times when I don't I add ?????. That was the reason I started SACE because I was a pain in the a**S to NCRS many years ago. I was the editor of SACE magazine for over 6 years I wrote what I and others knew . You can blame SACE for adding information in the JM like.Tin back headlights, welded wheels, having to remove the 53-54 shielding to check Dist, hard top verses soft top latch's,and many more parts .
Plus SACE gave a home for people that owned a Corvette not NCRS correct. We were the first to show how people could verified the original color of a 58 to 62 Corvettes. If the word documentation is needed check the dates we printed the information. I never copy righted this info and we were never given any credit we did because to me it's a hobby and should be free. As some know I dropped out of this forum for a while because again I'm a pain in the a**S when it comes to idea's.
Then I realized I cant please everyone and let people think what they wont . OK I'm done, that's my story and I'll just plug along here making some friends and up setting others for a while longer.

            Re: My story

Well, Roy, you are not upsetting me. It's fun to run out in the garage after you post your knowledge and pictures to see what my C1's have on them and how they compare. Especially the '54.

Keep posting Roy. AND....you're right. It's a hobby. Nobody knows it all and no one should profess to do so.

Everyone should be open to things that are new to them. Like new documentation or new ideas. They may just learn something.

I feel that I know a fair amount on 53 and early 54's...but not everything. After having managed at GM, I can say that ANYTHING was possible at GM. I have worked at Guide, Delco Remy and Delphi also. You can throw in the Foundry at International Harvester too.

Nothing new would surprise me in the least.
