I depends how it was serviced. If the owner used a Chevrolet dealer service department for service, they might have replaced the solenoid. This could have happened for several common reasons. First, if the owner complained of "idle stability", it might have been the first thing they replaced. Second, if there was some other problem which could even remotely (in some mechanics mind) have been related to the solenoid, they might have replaced it as part of a "shotgun" approach to automotive repair.
Of course, there's also the other 2 possibilities I discussed earlier. Actually, I think that one of those is the more likely.
