Re: zo6 ls7 rod bolts
Graeme from OZ, we are only supposed to consider Corvettes C4 and older on this site, but since you have such an interesting name, and I have the information at hand, I'm going to give you a freebie...
Maybe this is not the easy answer you expected...if I were building an LS7, I would have to buy the complete Service Manual for myself. From the 2006 Covette Service Manual, Engine Mechanical - 7.0L, page 6-539:
10. Install the bearing cap (103), bearing (104), and bolts (102).
Tighten
10.1 Tighten the bolts a first pass to 20 N-m (15 lb-ft).
10.2 Tighten the bolts a final pass to 75 degrees using the J45059 (GM special tool).- Top

Re: zo6 ls7 rod bolts
Duke, is it possible the tensioning procedure as simple as 75 degrees rotation after the first stage torqueing to 15 ft-lbs? I'm wondering if you can just use a machinist's protractor if you don't want to buy the special tool.- Top
