57 Crank Balancer Pulley

Did the 283ci,270hp 2x4 (July 57) Corvettes come from the factory with a riveted pulley 3/8 belt groove? Or did they come with a "deep ride" 1/2 inch belt groove? If they came with the "deep ride" 1/2 inch pulley was it riveted on or a separate bolt-on?

i'd look for a bolt on harmonic balancer BUT you'll probably need the deep groove pulley. i used a deep groove , bolt on pulley on vin 4450, but the riveted pulley/balancer combo on vin 1093.both FI's and both took the deep groove pulley. bolt on harmonic balancers plentiful but the correct deep groove pulley will be elusive, and expensive. good luck,mike
