    1962 Speedometer meltdown

    As the odometer on my '62 was rolling to 50,000, the odometer stopped working and the speedometer needle action became erratic. Does this mean I will be removing the instrument cluster to have the speedometer-odometer mechanism repaired?
    Should I need to have the speedometer repaired can someone recommend a shop?

          They have mine from my 69 right now. Tach, speedo, clock. About 8 week turnaround right now.

              While I wont talk you out of restoring your 63/64 year old speedo, you may want to Inspect the cable to see if its all wadded up on either end.
              They do dry out and fail. Could be just a bad cable.

              Several vendors offer USA made replacement cables. Let me know if you need that info.
