I was still doing the AJS when that change was made. At the same time a change to the windshield Standard Deduction was made.

      Terry,

When did the battery change happen? When I said it was a year ago or so that I read Dave’s column, that means it could have been 2 or 3 years ago. That’s how my memory works these days…

        From our friend Mr. Google:

If you are referring to the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) and their standard deduction guidelines, a "Standard Deduction Guidelines, Feb 2024 (Rev 8.0)"

Understood Harry - meant to say Judging reference manual, 9th edition. My quote was taken from the Standard Deduction section - isn't the 9th edition the latest version?

Yes, the last JRM is version 9, the last SDG is Version 8. We use Version/Revision 8.0 on the Judging Field.

Thanks Harry. Where/how did you receive the update(s)?

Occasionally the NJC will make them available at the National Convention. They can be ordered from the NCRS store along with the paint flowchart, the condition guidelines and the paint help chart.

Fred, Yes, the latest version of the JRM is #9. Unfortunately we can't revise this manual every year, but we do make changes that should be in that manual. I am currently making changes that will require a new revision. There are future changes that may not go into effect quickly that may take me a year to get into print.

Thanks again Haryy and Joseph. I do usually try to order the latest manuals from the NCRS store - will check again. Thanks again to Joseph for continuing to improve the quality and breadth of information that helps us maintain our ability to keep our cars to the highest standards possible.
