Perhaps using the Freedom of Information Act directed towards the Dept. of Labor or the IRS could provide the answer if someone was motivated enough.
Direct to the IRS I believe. After the cursory review I did of whistleblower, very high level, I am still a little confused as to if the identity of either an erroneous or vengeful reporter identity is available. I need to research some more. Maybe one of our attorney members can shed some light.

I understand the desire for blood, however, for what purpose and actions would knowing the identity serve? How is anyone here going to know if the complaint was an honestly held belief made out of concerns for the org or made with malicious intent?

It's an ugly chapter that caused a lot of distention that, I believe, should be chalked up to history. How much more time, effort, finances, and negativity is desired by the membership? The money spent to defend the accusation was unquestionably mandatory, but paying for lawyers going forward is completely elective.

The silver lining is that the audit showed the accounting methods, transactions, and books are in excellent order. When was, or has, the NCRS last been subjected to this level of audit?

Thank you, John and Sophie for all your hard work in support of our Society. After an exhaustive IRS audit where the Society produced 12,000 transactional documents over the last year, the conclusion? Clean tax returns and even a refund! I call that a WIN!

Note that none of those who were Regional Reps in 2022 and voted for a change are currently Regional Reps. In fact, only our (re)current President was a Regional Rep in 2022 and still is today. This supports that we've already moved on, and "going after" any of them would do little to further the organization. I would also suspect that few of them thought that their vote would have resulted in such a cost to the organization, in money and in other ways.

I'm thrilled that the audit came out in our favor. Many have been calling for an audit for years, but the comment repeatedly was that it was unnecessary and expensive. I suspect that this one was a lot more expensive than if the organization had done one on its own, but thankfully the result showed that we're on the right track. Thanks to John and Sophia for all of their hard work.

            Let's move forward from here.

if the whistleblower is no longer a member of NCRS, then lets move on by all means. however, if said whistle lower is still an active NCRS member, then I'd favor their identity be know to the membership, and perhaps terminating their membership in NCRS. mike
