    1965 neutral safety switch powerglide

    On an automatic what 2 wires can i short across to by pass the neural safety switch to get the car to crank.? Or is there a way to test the switch to see if its bad ? Thanks

    Paul, the safety switch simply connected at the purple wire to starter solenoid Male/Female connector usually lightly wrapped with friction tape in harness just above the wiper /washer motor. I do not know what you have left from switch harness, but if you simply plug the harness together ( as seen on a 4 speed car) it will bypass the switch, as the switch simply plugged in there, interupting the solenoid input. Then, be careful!
