Re: deck lid receiver removal
I would suggest using an offset wrench. If you don't have one with the correct offset, I would make one. Take an inexpensive wrench, heated and bend to the desired shape.- Top

Re: deck lid receiver removal
Keith,
Snap On and probably make deep offset box wrenches that will probably work too. You don't say what the hex size is but the photos are 3/8" X 7/16". Good luck.

Re: deck lid receiver removal
This is turning out quite well as I love it when the solution ends up with a new tool!!! I am gonna pick up a set of Craftsman offset wrenches from Amazon for $48. I had been thinking about a set of crows foot for a while but they are $63 and I think for this need the offsets are better. I probably do have a random wrench of appropriate size that I could bend but what I don't have is a welder and I don't think MAP gas gonna do the job to bend it.
Thanks all. much appreciated. Probably too late for Santa to get the wrenches under the tree. And many might say I not been a good boy anyway. Merry Xmas!!***************
