I used Moeller Zinc Chromate Green #025472. I test sprayed several brands of zinc chromate and the difference in color was obvious. The Moeller matched best to some original parts that were zinc chromate on my car. I checked for the Moeller zinc chromate just now and it looks like it might be discontinued and replaced with Moeller zinc phosphate.

thanks for all the info , the quanata paint( almost full) which i have that is 5+ years old according to the date on the can spits out small specs of yellow colored paint from time to time and will not dry. I figure farther time has caught up with the can of paint.

Bob,

Will you be spraying new zinc chromate green next to original zinc chromate green so that you need a good color match? If so, you might need to buy several brands and see which is closest. The two brands I sprayed were quite different greens.

A picture of my unrestored, AOS bodied '65 coupe, VIN 2209x built in the last week of June. The original zinc coating on the car is more on the light green/yellow side. Cleaned only with Simple green and water.
