    Weatherstripping Question

    Me again,

I am going to have to replace the door weatherstripping on my 57. Seeing how my car is a driver and never will be judged, I am thinking about using later year C1 weatherstripping. There are 3 versions used from 56-62. Apparently several attempts were made in order to improve the sealing (can you believe it)! They are 56-58, 59-60, and 61-62. Looks like all the stuff is in stock at CC. Just not cheap is all.

Has anyone done this? Are there major differences in the car? I know the front post is different, but I should be able to drill/tap the holes okay. Not sure if the serrations on the 57 post will be a problem.
There are more fasteners holding the strips in place, but again, I should be able to drill holes okay. Is the fiberglass the same?

    Just looking for some advice.

As always, I appreciate any help.

    Dan

    Dan,

Check with Corvette Rubber https://corvette-rubber.com/collections/c1-1953-1962 since you're not concerned with judging.
