Gary,
It seems this repro is a lot better than a put together fixed mast antenna and certainly it will get quite a few judging points. However for the purist we need to find a way to restore the originals. Based on the work I have done so far it will be a monumental task. These antennas are an engineering marvel and once you take one apart you quickly see why they only lasted two years. Let’s hope we can find a workable solution.
