Re: Car Show Survey Question
Good morning Mr. Doty! Tammy better be careful about what she volunteers for because we just might take her up on that 😁. We have done very well at that show with regard to awards & we certainly are grateful & flattered because we're in the presence of a great many beautiful cars at that event (around 300). You'd think I'd be the last person griping but the glaring inequity in awards at that show (ie: prejudice towards the classic cars & favoritism to the late models, in my opinion) needs to be fixed to bring the show up to its potential greatness. And I'm not alone in that opinion, by the way. It really seems to me like the folks with the later model cars really resent the folks with the classics because the crowds seem to gather around the older cars quite a bit more and steal their thunder. They just went down to their local dealership and plunked down 120k for the nicest C8 they could buy and they want to show it off and I don't blame them. They're beautiful cars and I'd love to own one, too but I can only afford one and my dream car is a C2 big block and that's what I have. The thing of it is, people see those late model cars every day but they sure as heck don't see a C1 or C2 or C3 rolling down the road very often so it's a much different attraction issue for the crowd. Still pisses the late model car owners off anyway, though. Not sure what the cure to that problem is, but it seems to be a problem.
