We have considered outside that but it wouldn't be a March (winter) event, weather is just too unpredictable. There may be a possibility of having an outside event in Concord, NC; but we haven't begone that investigation/discussion.

When we started with Greenville back in 2015 - planning for 18 Regional / 19 national, we considered tents (remember Rhode Island) but tents were even more expensive than renting the GCC.

That could be a possibility, but economics are still the same - but could share the loss. Back when we started the planning for 18 Regional / 19 National - the chapter was hoping for help from another chapter, but none step forward, so Carolinas did them all by themselves.

It is the same group (Atrium) that owns the Embassy Suites we have used in Greenville. Hotel wasn't the issue, infact their room rate would have been slightly lower than in 2022. Thier largest car accessible ballroom is only 11000 sqft. Hotel wasn't the issue, rent at the GCC at $18,000 for 3 days was.
