    Plug wires for 63 fuelie.

Looking to replace my Lectric Limited wires. Want 90 - 90 wires that will fit under the stock shielding. Prefer pre-made wire set, but will fab them if necessary.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I replaced mine with Summit racing spiral wound set, had to cut to length and also used LL dist boots on top, runs vastly better than the LL wires ever could.

I have been using magnacore with good results.

If judging isn't a concern, spiral-core wires like those recommended by Dan and Paul are a great choice. Minimal resistance, durable, minimal RFI. If you don't have a radio, solid-core like Packard 440 is a good choice.

OEM wires use a fiber core impregnated with carbon particles as a conductor, a design that has significant, inconsistent resistance, and breaks down with heat, handling, and age.

Whatever you choose, check resistance of each wire before installation. Sometimes you get a bum wire.

Assuming they look like the originals and you can find this obsolete part number, they may be good for judging. But they are old-time suppression core wires, so not the best construction.

If a pre-cut and ready to install set is important, check out this outfit offering modern spiral-core made to order: https://firecoreperformance.com
