AIM interpretation 1969 rear bumper bolts

Need some help interpreting AIM. this is as much for my education on how to use AIM but also something I am in the middle of. Removed rear bumpers on my 1969. Attached images are of 69 AIM p299 (UPC 14 B1).

So...four bolts...two attached from external, two from inside. Inboard to outboard they are identified as schematic # 18, (none specified), 18, 7. #18 is GM# 9419077, #7 is GM#9419075 Starting from inboard the second bolt is neither shown nor identified but presumed to be same as the one in position 3 just outboard of it. Take a look at the notes at the bottom of the page.

What does all this mean? Are all four bolts the same? If so, which GM# or schematic number? Was 18 (two places) meant to change to 7 or vice versa?

Edit..just realize photo cuts off label of bolt in position 3 as #18. #18 bolt in the list of items is also that last item..presumably added to the list commensurate with the note?

    Thanks,
    Keith

Re: AIM interpretation 1969 rear bumper bolts

I just recently replaced all the hardware for my front and rear bumpers and spent a bunch of time looking over this section of the AIM. My interpretation was that the 3 inner bolts were the 9419077 type and the outer bolt, the one on the side of the bumper, is the 9419075. I was unsatisfied with the quality of the bolts I secured from the vendors to initially install the bumpers, so I replaced all this hardware, one bolt at a time, with new pieces I secured through AMK Bulk & Wholesale Auto Fasteners & Parts - AMK Products, Inc. There are a bulk provider of OEM style bolts and you get helpful info on the type, size, and style bolt by putting the GM part number into their website part lookup tool. When you look up these two bolts using their website you will see they are different sizes. AMK is a great site and they ship super fast, usually in a few days. Only downside is you have to purchase the bolts in bulk, usually at least 25 and they have a $30 minimum purchase requirement IIRC. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike. Interesting as AMK kept coming up when I did GM number searches. Most of my bolts are ok..but need many washers and lock washers. Just placed a good size order. Will see when I get product but am feeling much better about this route than the usual suspects packages.
