C2 small block starter bolt torque

Looking through my small library of C2 Corvette technical manuals I have located starter specifications, rebuild instructions, testing procedures, and wiring connection information but nothing regarding the starter mounting bolt torque specification. I suppose I have overlooked it somewhere, but I would appreciate if someone could provide the bolt torque specification and identify which Corvette technical manual it can be found in. Thanks in advance for the assistance!

    Richard,
The two starter bolts you're referencing are #3830134 which is a 3/8-16 X 3 5/8" Grade 5 bolt and #3/8-16 X 1.84" Grade 5 bolt. According to the chart show below, the torque for these bolts should be 30-35 lb ft.

Leif, that is a great chart. Can you post it as a PDF or provide a link to the website the chart is on.

      Thanks.

30-40 lb/ft. This can be found in the AIM as well as the factory service manual.

Make sure you use the special, knurled shank starter bolts.

                  Joe, Leif,
Thanks again, can't believe I overlooked it in the AIM but I found it now with your help! Yes, the bolts are knurled, appear to be factory original and the starter brace with shield is installed also.
