'63 Rear Seat Mount Nut Plates

Hi,

Not sure if this has been addressed before, but in looking at the '63 ASM, Sect. 1, D4.00 there are no rivets to hold the outer rear seat nut plates. So in the picture below of a repro nut plate set, should the outer rivet holes be there? The part numbers are the same for the inner and outer nut plates.

Douglas, yes, the outer plate is not riveted. and yes the holes in the plater should be there.

That's what I suspected, but I supppse its a complicating factor to repop separate inner/outer rear seat nut plates.
I probably have the originals somewhere boxed up.

The only reason I can come up with as to why the outboard plate was not riveted, it as cheaper. Some bean counter decided a guy on the line could reach under the body and install it as opposed to the body shop spending time riveting it in. It was the same part.
