Corvette Repair Shop Near Greenwich CT

My son lives in Greenwich CT. He has a 1966 big block and needs the carburetor repaired and probably rebuilt to NCRSD standards. Googling around we found Corvette Repair Inc out on Long Island - about three hours away. Does anyone have a trusted corvette mechanic they can recommend in the Greenwich area? Any advice is much appreciated.

Dan, if it's just the carb., you do not necessarily need a shop by you. There are many carb shops in the US. I use Chris's Carb. Shop in Dayton Ohio. Chris is just finishing my 63 AFB and mailing it back this week. When Chris is done he mounts it on a 396 and runs it as a quality check.

Other folks will chime in about their favorite carb restorers. You just need to figure out if you want a mechanical fix or a restoration (plating, etc.) and a mechanical fix. The mechanical will be just under $200. The Restoration and the mechanical will run about $450.

Call around, pull the carb., drain it, put it in a box and ship it to whom you select. Install it when you get it back (adjust nothing), start the car and drive.
