      Yes, in my opinion the current Spicer HD u-joints are the way to go. Their configuration is very different from the originals but they are far stronger. The only way to go in my mind. Ever have a u-joint fail catastrophically with the attendant consequences to the floor pan or battery box (68-82)? I have not but I've seen it. I NEVER, EVER want that to happen to me.

          With all this good discussion, I think I will go towards safety and use the best quality u joint without grease fitting's, maybe I will not get a deduct from the 67 team?
          The repo u joints with flat caps, are they quality, do we know the manufactured source, and quality testing?
          I do think sometimes we should allow for safety items to be used, such as the double crimp brake hoses which most judges do not deduct for, if the hoses are properly prepared.

            William, I have pictorial that I think John Hinckley had posted on here from the assembly line where 63-7 were being built. Which I printed. It clearly showed the Ujoints that were installed on one frame. Those puppies were indented in the middle.
