cost is around $400 I hear and THEY do all the dirty work. Personally, I have used enough acetone to remove "rattle can restorations", my hands / skin are not a pretty site. Merry Christmas all
Dry ice blasting definitely can be done successfully to strip and clean fiberglass. Just make sure the person performing the work has experience with dry ice blasting different surfaces other than metal. Care definitely needs to be taken when dealing with fiberglass.

Here are some pictures of my '63 coupe which was recently dry ice blasted to remove the dealer undercoating and years of dirt.

I just finished stripping the spare tire tub and cover. About 2 hours of work start to finish as the paint was pretty heavy on the underside spare cover. Here are some before and after pictures.

Larry, I purchased their "Pack A" (https://shopus.coopersstripclub.com/...ng-pack-a-2pl/) and this was enough for the tubs, spare carrier and cover and I have about a quart left over. Stock up on a few grades of steel wool and shop towels. You can start by shop toweling off what instantly bubbles and then apply the product again and use the steel wool to remove the paint down to the desired finish level. You can spray or you can brush on in areas that are too tight to spray. Good luck!

I just finished stripping my C1 door jams by soda blasting. Just the doors not the fiberglass on the vehicle.
I used it wet (dustless) but can be blasted either way, wet or dry, with the equipment I have.
I will attempt to post some pictures tomorrow.
Of course dealing with the mess would be untenable in a shop.
But for hoods doors and the like it would be difficult to beat.

Dry ice blasting, in a shop, could work. I have seen the same video, dry ice cleaning of a Porsche.
Would be expensive but the strain on one's shoulders and exposure to chemicals may make the argument $ worthwhile?

BTW is makes Aluminum parts, like C2 headlight motors, look like they were just cast.
Five liters of "Cooper's Strip" is is $248. I thought he was kidding. Coverage is Thin finish – approx 4 m2/l. Might be a deal compared to dry ice blasting?

Great job, the bottom of your car looks great. My hat is off to you.

FWIW>Before I was going to buy some "Cooperstrip" I thought I would get my 66 Spare Tire Carrier
"Soda Blasted". IT CAME OUT GREAT; SURPRISED ME. After I do some finishing touches on the
two pieces I will post some picture. CONCLUSION>

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE OFF VERY OLD PAINT AND UNDERCOATING DON'T FOOL AROUND WITH
THE NEWER TYPE STRIPPERS>EG.>CITRISTRIP/AVAIATION STRIPPER AND ETC. THEY ARE USELESS
IN DOING THE JOB. JMHO>>Larry P.S. It appears that "Cooperstrip" would work as shown but very expensive.
