I recently acquired a 67 427/390 car. In researching numbers and date codes, I found a anomaly (or maybe not)on the transmission. The case is a 3885010, the vin is stamped on the trans, but the date code is stamped P7E087 rather than P7E87 the car is a May build, the rear end is correct as AZ 5-11-67. Did the assembly line guy decide to give 08 for the day?? Having lots of fun with this one. Ermine white, red interior, red stinger. great options, power steering, windows, brakes, headrests, speedminder, tinted glass, two tops, AM/FM, Posi, red lines, extra coolant (canada ), side pipes, 427/390, TI. with documentation showing all options. Needs a little love, but got plenty to give. Waited a long time for this one.

Re: 1967 m21
It looks like the stamping vrersion of a typo. Clearly the day of the month should be 07 or 08, not 087- Top

Re: 1967 m21
Gary - Congrats on the new 67 Bigblock. Got a question for you...'extra coolant (Canada)'? Never heard of that before, can you educate me on that option? Also, we'd love to see some pics of your new acquisition.Mike T. - Prescott AZ.- Top

Re: 1967 m21
Only 336 1967 Corvettes were sold new in Canada, the number of cars that got option V48 which is just a slightly richer antifreeze mix. If you don’t already have it Gary, GM of Canada will provide you documentation of your colors and options from the import documents. That makes Canada cars pretty unique, I have one too. It is a Goodwood Green L71 Convertible. Canada used different names for the same colors. The GM of Canada documentation calls it Mountain Green while the tank sticker stays with Goodwood Green.- Top

Re: 1967 m21
Patrick; I have a documentation from Vintage Vehicle Serices Inc. of Ontario, Canada. A gentleman by the name of George Zapora signed the document. It lists all the options, production date, ship date etc. i assume this info came from GM Canada. my car was sent to Jack Carter Chev Olds Ltd. in Calgary. Number imported for sale in Canada is 195. If I wanted to contact GM Canada to confirm, what is that process. Gary- Top

Re: 1967 m21
Errors certainly do happen. This was the first year that they used a different holder for the engine and transmission stamps. My1967 427/390 was built on the 3rd day of production with VIN 350, but the transmission is stamped 349. Neither motor or transmission has been out of the car and the build date on the transmission matches the POP.- Top
