Thanks. I was looking at an old, used 308 cap tonight and it seems to me the lettering is more crisp than in other NOS caps I’ve seen. As though even some, real-deal Delco Remy caps had wonky letters, maybe depending on which mold they came out of.

I'm learning something new about these Repro Distributor caps. This must be fairly new so I assume someone bought the rights to use Delco's name and logo. I will get one to study at some point. In the meantime I've attached the inside photo of an original Delco Remy logo to this post for comparison. The original Delco has excellent clarity as you can see and the detail is very good. I'd like to see the Delco Remy logo that the reproducers use for comparison purposes.

The logo is a bit fainter but not enough to differentiate from the original.
I assume you know yours is a repro as you must have bought it from K & B.
Assuming that is the case then it seems the repros have covered all the details pretty well.
Just another thing to be aware of when buying these parts.

Looks like all the repros use the mold number 12. I guess that is a give away that it is a repro.😀😀

Unless mold 12 was a common mold for originals.

I have 5 caps in my stache. Mold numbers 24, 57, 15.A, 1 and 7. Mold numbers are embossed (raised numbers).
