Guys,
Looks like we have an interesting thread going here. Just to complicate it some, I have a copy of a lawsuit brought by Applied Arts Corporation against Grand Rapids Metalcraft Corp. dated Nov. 7, 1933. Seems there was a patent infringement by GRM Corp of an AAC design for a combination ash tray and electric lighter for automobiles. Believe AAC got the judgement, as best I can interpret legal writings.
It's possible that Applied Arts Corp. disbanded and reincorporated in 1964.

Have done research on several things such as Vlchek wrenches who was the manufacturer of the 1957 Hardtop wrench using https://michmemories.org/

As Dave Barclay pointed out, it appears AAC reinvented themselves multiple times over the years.

I'd be interested to hear what you found about Vlchek and who the manufacturer was. It was my impression that it was Ingersoll-Rand from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.
