I am recreating the photos of the process as my previous photos were lost in a computer crash.
I just found the relief I had pulled some time ago and was going to post those only the relief photos but thought that may not represent very well... so I went and got a filter to bond it to in order to have a better representation of what it would look like.
I probably should have waited until I had the filter completed, however that may be a week or two depending on how much I get done regarding my car's readiness for Greenville regional, plus customer cars, plus building a house, plus plus plus...

I knew I should have waited until I completed the project prior to posting process photos.

With a coat of white paint...
I left the black around the base just to show it is the NEW WIX filter.

Not exactly the easiest project.

The only other solution I can see being utilized is:
Take an original embossed filter cut the circumference of the can at the filter base and remove the can.
Then swage the can very minimally and slip it over a new filter. - a rare earth magnet or glue could be used for retention.

Thank you, however in comparison to my father making a set of pattern boards and having some parts for one of his cars cast at a foundry, this was a cake walk.

Unfortunately, licensing for the ac logo would kill any possibility of marketing them even if someone would pay $300.

FWIW Last time I looked into it GM charged 2500 per year plus 10% of applicable sales for licensing.
