Questions for Judges and seek opinions of others

To help combat the interior heat issue on my boy, Blue (69 L68), how would the lizard skin spray insulation coating affect judging, value and resale by spraying the interiors toe boards, floor pans and rear floor of the compartment area.
Would this prevent you from buying a car with it?
    TIA

If it's not visible or easily detectable, I can't imagine judging would be affected.
If judging isn't affected, I can't imagine it would be a negative impact on resale.
The NCRS types wouldn't mind, and the non-judging buyers wouldn't care.

Does this car have tubular headers or stock exhaust manifolds?

        Joe,
Stock exhaust manifolds with N14 option

Joe, I would never have thought my feet would get as hot as they do with the n14. The amount of heat at the footboard is ridiculous.
So, what's your thoughts on the lizard skin?

It's a big job but have you considered checking and replacing the seals on your blend doors in the heater box? Hot water constantly flows through the heater core and leaky seals could be your source of heat.

My wife and I had a 69 427/400 HP convertible with factory side exhausts. Never bothered us much when we lived in Maryland. We moved to Florida in 2009. Found we rarely drove the car due to the cabin heat and especially the floorboard heat.

Those factors, coupled with the warm climate in Florida relegated the car to the top of my four post lift. We sold the car to a fellow in S. Carolina in about 2015.

Install a hot water shutoff to keep the hot water out of the heater core.

It might help if you applied it to the under-carpet floorboards, especially on the area proximal to the side exhaust.

True, unless it's a C60 car. Then there is a cut-off valve when the a/c is on so that the a/c evaporator isn't at war with the heater core. But that assumes the valve isn't stuck.
