    FYI It is the felt washer not metal GM should have called it a seal.

      If not mistaken there was an actual thin clear plastic disc over the top of the felt disc. looks like soda bottle clear plastic

        1951099 is a Delco Remy part number. You might be able to find in one of their older catalogs.

          It is just a piece of felt, about 1/4 inch thick. Circular with a hole cut in the center for mounting. It fits OVER the plastic upper bearing cavity seal. and is saturated with 30 wt engine oil.

          I purchased mine from LICS, but Zip, CC, and others should have one. Ebay also.

          The hard part for me to get was the plastic cavity seal...........but they are still available from GM if you know where to look.

            What I have been doing is buying pass car distributors at flea markets for 5 bucks or so and using them for the small parts as they are the same as Corvette
