    Last 63 Coupe

I was looking at this car on eBay with a buy-it-now for over 400k. Advertised as the last 63 Coupe built. I kept scratching my head about this picture. With some help I figured it out. So a test on this restored 63.

What is wrong with the picture?

It was once a 6 taillight car, and when someone undid that, they removed the outermost pair, instead of the innermost pair? ooops

(the other thing wrong is the car is not parked at my place)

hey great, what'd I win? A split coupe, but not this one?

The last two built were convertibles...in case anyone was interested.

Looks like it is up for auction at Kissimmee at Mecum in January.

Good quick catch. The taillight placement gives the optical illusion that the fenders are too wide for the car IMO.

Well, this would be much easier for the exterior judges to see the removed 5th and 6th tail lights. To see that on my '63, Stewart had to climb under the car and look at the back side of the lower rear body for the cut and fills.......

That car was in a small shop in Hopewell Junction New York last spring for detailing and to get it running properly. When the tail light misteak was pointed out to the owner he said !!! who is going to notice that?

Do I recall correctly that the 1st '63 coupe was also Saddle Tan?

Jeff, I think you're right. It looks like the knuckleheads who installed the extra inboard lights placed them perhaps 1/4" too close to their mates. oops.
