Re: 67 seat reupholstering
Just my personal 2 cents for what it is worth ... I had a professional auto interior shop that specialized in classic cars do my two '70 seats (central Connecticut). Not cheap, but .. i could not get over the comfort level I experienced with the new foam seats. Don't know if it was memory foam or not, but they were the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in in a classic sports car. I was like a little kid and kept wanting to sit in the driver's seat while it was parked in the garage just to keep experiencing that level of comfort over and over again.
In fairness, my old foam was starting to disintegrate, as there was a faint layer of "yellow dust" appearing on my black vinal seat covers every time I sat down and got back up.
Seat reupholstering was one of the few efforts that I did not tackle myself during my project. As Patrick indicated that he needed a helper to compress the seat, and with similar advice from others who have done it themselves, off to the upholstery shop they went.
Have fun and go slow with it!
