3M Yellow Super Weatherstrip Cement. The factory-applied weatherstrip cement was originally yellow but oxidized to brownish yellow over time.

Joe, I seem to remember that the factory used a brush with a can of the 3m yellow cement, 3M offers the 5 oz tube of yellow cement for about $15,
but also offers a yellow Neoprene 10 cement in a quart can, so you can brush it on. Am I overthinking this or is my memory shot ?
        Thanks Bob

The original adhesive was neoprene solvent cement and I believe it was applied with a brush. However, I think a quart can is going to be a lot more than you need.

i agree with mike ernst. just be sure to wipe the new weatherstrips with lacquer thinner to remove any release agents. the cement adheres way better to clean rubber. mike

Thank you, I am going to give the DAP a try, can always go back to 3m if it doesnt work out. My car shows the brush on was done to the UAW quality standard of the 70's.
