Here's an easy one. Does the hose from the radiator to the expansion tank have clamps at both ends that are the same or as the TIMJG says a different clamp is used on the radiator end and a spring clamp on the bottle end. If possible, please include a picture with your reply specific to 1975. Thanks in advance. Lynn

Re: Radiator expansion tank hose - '75 L-48
See if this helps! This is from the "soon-to-be-published" 3rd edition.
A small diameter hose connects the coolant recovery tank to the radiator using a single black spring-clamp is at the cap end and a green spring-clamp is at the radiator. (See Fig. M 19.15)
The black hose has a yellow stripe with EVAP. (Fig. M 19.15) Some hoses include numbers, such as D10022 in between stripes while others are seen with a solid yellow stripe. Different series of numbers have been seen and could include a date code but with no regular pattern.
What are you doing about the water shut-off valve?Tom Russo

Re: Radiator expansion tank hose - '75 L-48
That part of the car was still attached to the car and without the valve. We are going without the valve and hope it is correct for the judging team in February. See you in Lakeland.Lynn Skipper 62393

Re: Radiator expansion tank hose - '75 L-48
should be a good exercise and test whether all the judges have read the 3rd edition manual. They'll be in for a shock if they depend on the 2nd edition.Tom Russo
