    95 vette A/C problem

i replaced the module in 95 vette. because cold air was only coming out of defroster and bottom ( heater). no luck it was not resolved. I've heard that it could be a leaky vacuum hose but I don't know where to look . Is there any one who has solved this and is there other things that could be causing this. there is only 73 k on car. any help or suggestions would be appreciative.

Defroster only is the fail-safe mode on your ventilation system. Later C4 (yours included) had a change to the vacuum controlled distribution block. Earlier C4 had hard plastic vacuum distribution blocks. Later had soft rubber nipples on black - ostensibly to lessen air leaks. Over time these rubber nipples collapse internally resulting in defroster only operation. Likely you need a block from an earlier car. They look ok from the outside - problem is internal.

Send me a PM and I'll get you a phone number and we'll talk. I'd run out of electrons if I had to write it down.

Photo below. Located under dash toward center. Access via carpeted panel driverside. I'm remembering a 10mm flex socket on 1/4 inch drive was most useful. Replacement unit depends on AC options.

Just my two cents, I would check the Corvette Heater And Air Conditioning Vacuum Tank Check Valve before you go to the programmer. If that valve is clogged or cracked. or the hose to it is bad, it could cause the problem you are facing. Here is a photo of it. Also, check to make sure you don't have a general vacuum leak somewhere.

Watch this video, it may help you:

Yea, I would definitely rule that out first. It's easier and cheaper.

                    Keep me posted.

You want that unit with vacuum lines running in ti it.

Rubber nipples on that oart have likely collapsed internally.

Unit is called "AC Programmer". Reference page 1B-12 HVAC in 1995 Corvette Service Manual. Figure 12 is a schematic of distribution system with identification of vacuum ports. Vacuum lines are colored with Black being the source.
