    Re: Changes in NCM insurance

Owen, frankly this is probably what happened and I was told otherwise. Would love to know the full and complete story because it almost became a Hagerty monopoly here in NC. I have noting against Hagerty, but I don't want to be the one to pay for all of the promotional ventures. I am sure they are a good company and in fact had them as my insurer at one time in the distant past. Competition is good and keeps people honest.

      Garry,

FYI - if anyone has questions about insurance companies requirements in a particular State could always contact their State's Insurance Commission for an explanation.

Do any of the consolidation actions and/or other changes include coverage in North Carolina?
We can now offer coverage in NC and Mass through Hagerty. If you go through us, the NCM will receive the commission vs all of it going to the company. This helps out the Museum as I am sure you are aware.

The situation with NC is that you have to enter into the Insurance Risk Pool. It is the same fee for standard auto insurance vs niche providers. Our primary carrier of choice has not opted into this risk pool. Maybe one day...
