    Gerry,
The master cylinder needs to be bled first, then bleed each caliper. Most people bench bleed the MC before it is installed but you can do it either way.

Here is a procedure written by Duke Williams on bleeding. This and many other documents and procedures can be found in the restoration document repository

If your only one person ,Bench bleed the Master Cyl. keep master full with fluid at all times, then open all bleeders and let it gravity bleed until air bubbles gone and retightened bleeder.

Since each rear brake caliper has 2 bleeders, does it matter whether you bleed the outer or inner of the 2 ?

Always bleed the high's point bleeder on each Calipers, there should be one bleeder, lower ones should have a plug fitting on it.IMG_3360.jpg

I usually bleed the inner bleeder valve first, but I doubt it really matters.

(It's working on the advice to do the furthest from the master cylinder first.)

My method is working on the advice to do the closest from the master cylinder first. 😁

I do both at the same time...gravity style. 2 clear hoses equal length, connected to a Tee to another hose to a bottle. Both rears and fronts at the same time.

Every rear that I have done has two bleeders.
