Re: Name that Vette Contest...sort of....
Yeah...I think most folks get the antique/vintage registration insurance concept. It is GREAT thing to have and I hope that it never goes away. I checked my Hagerty policy which is pretty loosely defined...as are PA state guidelines. Pretty awesome that I register one time with one time fee in perpetuity...no subsequent reg required...no emissions inspections. Reality though is the frequency and type of use guidelines are not really enforceable...but that really isn't the point. If folks tried to game the system well that might end up ruining it for all. There is nothing that would stop someone from taking their low mileage survivor split window down to the corner store for a loaf of bread...but would anyone who truly values their collector car do something like that on a regular basis? Probably not. And even if you used it as a daily driver...if you were stopped just say your usual daily driver is in the shop. This whole notion of antique registration and associated insurance falls into the realm of the spirit and intent of the law....which MOST folks would follow. So back to our regularly scheduled program...I guess that rules out a plate of DLDR....daily driver...?? Any other suggestions? ;-)
