1975 Convertible with AM/FM Stereo Radio with A/C

The 1975 Assembly Manual I have gives a general location on the interior firewall for the radio amplifier. The amplifier for a stereo AM/FM is considerably larger than the non-stereo version. But, the assembly manual does not give any measurement guidelines as it does in many other assemblies. Are there any photos showing the ideal/preferred/recommended location for the amplifier for my stereo application? It appears that once installed, that the judging team cannot see the amplifier, but I want to install it in the correct location. There are several holes from previous owners where it could go but since it was not in place when I bought the car (basket parts car), I want to do it correctly. Thanks for your advice, specific dimensions illustration, etc in advance.

Lynn can you use the hole locations on the amp. And match up with the holes that are there on firewall I-know my 72 has a AM/FM is mounted on pass side upper firewall.

Below are photos from a '70 coupe with U79 AM/FM stereo. This radio has two external boxes as shown. I don't know if this is the same as a '75 convertible but let me know if you want different photos or measurements. If the car had a stereo originally, you should be able to locate the mounting holes.

Mark, 1970 AM/FM Stereo radios are different than 1975 AM/FM Stereo radios. There is no separate multiplex adapter in 1975 like there was in 1970. The 1975 stereo convector has 2 power transistors.
