70 big block 4 speed no A/C. Are there any special steps or tips to take prior to lowering the body on the frame?

Re: C3 Body drop
Justin,
Many years ago, before the body drop on my '69, someone advised that the entire parking brake system be installed, especially the spring that attaches to a frame crossmember near the center of the car. Once the body drop has been made, the spring can't be installed.- Top

Was front suspension rebuilt? In particular, your "A-Arms". If so, and you used standard rubber bushings (recommended), then those cross-shaft bolts should be loose and not tightened until your suspension gets a chance to settle. (bumps/short drive)

Re: C3 Body drop
The A arm shields need to be installed on the body.
The guys that installed the body on my car broke the shifter during the process. Good catch by others in this thread.
Be sure the radio grounds are attached at the top.
Search "body drop check list". This has been done before.

Re: C3 Body drop
Thanks, David and Rick. I remember reading about leaving the cross shaft bolts loose so I'm good there.
The search title didn't yield anything C3 related and I wasn't sure if a lot of the C2 info could apply with my situation- Top
