    Steve

Enjoy the frame off restoration it's a very rewarding process. I have been down this road on two 65's and a 69, sometimes I hit the burnout wall and had to take a break but always came back and plowed forward. It's a process, focus on one task than move on to the next.

Here is a picture of my first 65 engine and chassis restoration. Not NCRS in the true sense but in spirit none the less.

I bought the car in '79 while in college. Had a '65 ragtop which I sold to afford this one. A quick insurance documentation snapshot from last year:

65's are my favorite C-2, especially coupes. I have had many. A Southenn California friend just bought Cooper Wide white tires for his 58. He took his American TT's off and will sell them. I will see if they are the type 2 models that clear the calipers and the price. They have been on the car at least since 2005
I'd be interested to look at them.

We share the same goals. BTW Can the body be dropped with the core support assembled like this?

I my case yes because I didn't have a front end on my body, doing a front end replacement for the first time was a little nerve racking. I laid in bed the night before and kept telling myself you get one shot at this don't mess it up. HAHA

No, not a good idea, and you need a little help from your friends......
