Did the 62 327/300 get an early and late version of the harmonic balancer?


the balancer on my original 62 327/300, May build, is solid, see upper right balancer.

Did the 63 327/300 use the same balancer as the 62?

Did the 63 327/300 have an early and late version of the harmonic balancer?

I have the same 3 balancers in my collection as well as many more balancers.
This is my research that I had done years ago based on balancers sold over the counter based on my vintage Chevrolet Parts Catalogs and Chevrolet Parts History:
1958: GM # 3743849 replaced with GM # 3760584 in Jan. 1959
1959-1961: GM # 3760584 MIX with GM # 3817684 in Feb. 1962
1962-1964: GM # 3717684 replaced with GM # 3861968 in Nov. 1964
1965: GM # 3861968 replaced with GM # 3861970 in Nov. 1965

The 12 holes around the perimeter are for balancing purposes.

I am not sure when the actual changes took place on the assembly line.

The balancer in your photo on the upper left is a 1966-1967 balancer.

My original 65 300HP built 12/64 is the same as the upper right balancer photo with no holes .

I have about 10 or so 1958-1965 balancers that I have collected in the 1980's and 1990's. Identifying them has always been a mystery. I have 3 balancers that I actually took off salvage yard Chevrolets that had original engines with my identification tags. I will posts photos.

Balancer without the 12 holes around the perimeter from 1964 Chevrolet 283 w/AC (engine stamped "F0225D"). This matches with the 1965 (12/64) 300 HP Corvette balancer that Dennis mentioned.

Balancer with the 12 holes from a 1958 Chevrolet truck (Intake dated "C2658" or Mar 26, 1958).
