    Dr. Rebuild Status?

Has anybody got any info when Dr. Rebuild will be back in business? Still looking for the correct throttle
return spring(GM#3830222) for my base 66 Corvette. In looking at old threads on this board is seems
he has the only spring close to the original in tension. Thanks in Advance>>Larry

I exchanged emails with Geoffrey last week. He plans to reopen when the virus is gone and the violence in the cities stops. Saying that, I would expect next year sometime.

Hopefully when his website returns my cart will still have parts in it. I know I have parts there but I can't remember what they are?

Since he's running what is essentially a mail order business and likely has little face to face contact with suppliers and customers, I don't understand why he's suspended operations, and I don't think he's near any of the riot areas that are occurring in big cities.

Duke, I know where his warehouse is and it's not in a safe area of town. I would not go there to pick parts. Totally unsafe.

Sorry to hear this as the Doc has some unique parts. At any rate if some knows of where to find the correct throttle
return spring(GM#3830222) or has extra ones from Doc please let me know. Larry

Hey Duke you are correct, no riots in CT. Bridgeport can be a little intimating if your not from the area. I think Geoff has good intension I will get more info and post it. Also what you see on his website may not be current.

I note Joe L. Has not weighted in yet, he knows him better than all of us. I feel the same way Duke does.

DRAMA from Mr. Rebuild is putting it mildly. only had direct face to face contact with him, at carlisle, years ago and he was rude. mike

The Doc has (had?) some 63 parts that are now unobtanium (like used but good 63 power brake booster boots, etc.) and I never had any drama with him... I got some NOS radiator hoses from him a while back with the blue stripe - and the stripe doesn't peel off like a lot of the repros.

I've exchanged several emails with the Doc recently and his status is exactly as Harry has stated, I hope this doesn't devolve into a vendor-bashing thread.

Geoff and his wife have been my friends for years and have contributed greatly to the Corvette Hobby! Hope the respect of the NCRS members will continue for Dr Rebuild and other venders long after we are all gone from this earth.

All my respect, Joe Ray (1011)
