Hi all. Doing some work on my '63 and page 132 of the 6th Ed. JG states that up to approx. VIN#8000 the balance hose is routed inboard of hood support with 4 push in straps. After this VIN#8000 and for '64 balance hose is routed outboard of hood support with 3 push in straps. Does the wiring harness also follow this set up?
Also, on page 113 it states that early and up to approx. VIN#13500 the segment of the wiring harness serving alternator horns etc. and balance hose run inboard of the hood support. After VIN#13500 and '64 wiring harness runs outboard of hood support.
Confused as to which is TFP for my car with VIN#13739. If the TFP is after VIN#8000, I assume the wiring harness is also routed outboard with the balance hose. If it is "approx. Vin#13500" can I run both inboard since I am close to "approx.13500" and be given the benefit of the doubt during judging? Just a personal preference to run inboard....just would like to keep lines and wires away from hood support with hood closed.
Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.
