The system judged well, standard deduction for aluminized system, but I think that was the only deduction I received. Also worth the wait for the free shipping offer if it’s still available. Good luck.

No Configuration deductions for the mufflers or pipe bends?

Depends how you want to argue that one.

If you read the standard deduction section, it mentions the 25% for aluminized. There is no comment stating 25% plus CDCIF.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but most will deduct 25% alone; there are those who do 25% plus.

Good question. Does the standard deduction cover all CDCIF? Or only Finish?

Here's some pictures from my '70 LT-1's exhaust system. It is the Corvette Central aluminized system with welded mufflers that Patrick mentioned.

I believe it would take a deduction for the pipe bend configuration and of course the mufflers.

Again, depends on how you want to read the rules.

If the JRM stated that it was 25% plus appropriate CDCIF deductions, that would be easy. But, it doesn't. It only states that aluminized systems receive a 25% standard deduction.

Since the other standard deductions (battery, tires, glass) are not a percentage plus, most of us do not treat exhaust any differently.

OEM pipes are mandrel bent without the indentation for the shoe of the pipe bender. A deduction in my book.

I'm well aware they are different. I'm just citing the rule and the logic of current judging for exhaust.

I thought CC exhausts have mandrel bends. I guess they don't.

In my mind the bends deserve a deduction under Configuration, not a full, but partial
