correct routing of interior wiring harness for 69 L46 convertible

I should have taken more pictures when I pulled this thing apart....

I am installing the new interior wiring harness and the dash instruments/gauges on my 69 L46 convertible. The AIM doesn't seem clear enough to me on the correct routing of the main harness on the left side of the steering column. As you can see from the picture below, I have two options. One would take the harness (where I have it currently) through the hole above the upper support rod and left of the steering column brackets. The other would route between the upper and lower support rods to the left of the steering column brackets. In either case I have to deal with the fresh air duct that seems to interfere with the harness routing. Any suggestions?

I don't have an answer, but getting folks to look at their cars would be helpful. Since 1969 was such a long production year you might have more success if you give the date from your trim tag, or at least the month of production to encourage those with a car built close to yours to look for you.

Thanks Terry, The trim tag indicates a 6/26/69 build date.

Getting under the dash to look at the harness is the biggest part of the request here. I find it getting harder every day to twist my body to get in there and my seats aren't in yet ........
