    Re: 67 Holley 2300 Problem

    Daniel,

I don't think it would make a difference if the gauge was plumbed in line or deadheaded. The camshaft lobe rod just raises the diaphragm up against the spring at every cam revolution. If the diaphragm did not move, the fuel pump lever just moves up and down on the diaphragm shaft keeping it up against the spring for max pressure.

I just disconnected the rear carb & plumbed in the gauge in place of the rear carb fuel line... so, I suppose it was a dead end. In any case, the ignition switch replacement seems to have resolved the problem. I can attest that ignition problems can be easily confused with carb issues. I can't say enough thanks to all on this forum who are always willing to provide good advice.
