Re: 1958 windshield moved
Hi Jim,
I had that problem on my 57. A real head ache to fix. Whoever installed your top made it too tight. Having said that You have to always to disengage the top when lifting the car on a lift. The frame on these old cars will flex and create a real problem. The windshield will have to come out to fix it. i am told that the repo windshield's are a little smaller. I had to have a round piece of rubber installed on the bottom of the windshield to fix my problem. A REAL headache!!! Hope this helps. Patience My friend. Anything can be fixed!!

Re: 1958 windshield moved
there exists a urethan based windshield setting product. it binds the too thin repo glass to the rubber weatherstrip. it cured the problem on both our 57's with repo windshields. I don't recall the manufacturer of this product. perhaps someone else can identify the maker. mike- Top
