    Tank Sticker Puzzle

I have the tank sticker for my 67 small block and it has an entry at the very bottom, right below "TINTED GLASS", that says "SEQ F 25". I've seen other similar codes like this but have never been able to find any reference information explaining what they mean. I've checked the ECL code section in Noland Adam's book and can't find any mention.

Can anyone tell me what "SEQ F 25" means?

Does anyone have a reference describing all of these numbers?

Interesting question...I'll be watching for the answer. My '67 tank sticker (with power windows) does NOT have the notation.

Neither of my '67s have that, but one has "PLS RUSH" on that bottom line. Maybe that was for special handling so something like that? The assembly line may have known what that sequence number meant.

Mike's esponse rings a bell. If the letters SEQ stand for SEQUENCE this may be an indicator of the build sequence for your car. Have you found the "body build number" on the passenger side toe board on the enging side -- of in front of the gas tank on the back bulkhead? Or in either of the doors?

Before the car got a VIN assigned to it it was assigned a sequence number for scheduling purposes. Any chance your car was built on or about June 25?

That car should be in the 7000 vin area?

The Body Job number read on passenger side foot well is: 494
Last 3 digits of VIN are 726 and 726-500=226, thus penciled number on tank sticker of 225 is consistent with the VIN.
Car was built early Jan and left the assembly line on 1/10/1967, so I don't think the "SEQ F 25" number has anything to do with assembly completion date, body shop number, or tank sticker build sequence number, etc.

Tank sticker for VIN 7471 has the same order date, date of production and Zone #.
SEQ F 29 at the bottom.

Attached is a build sheet from a 72. In the far lower left, you will see SEQ B290
I have no idea what it means. This was a base motor 4-speed coupe.

Interesting that this notation is seen on other 67s and now on a 72. It clearly means something and I would think that someone would know the meaning. Perhaps an old timer that worked at the factory might know (if one is still present on this forum)?
