    Tail Light Lens Removal

I have an original unrestored 1967 Corvette and I am going through the operations check list for flight judging. I have one tail lamp that is not functioning and I am unsure how to safely remove the lens to replace the bulb. I have taken the two screws out but the lens won't budge. I don't want to press or pull too hard to remove it. Any suggestions? Thanks

if you get some of those small pick tools with a 90* end you can get behind the lens and pry it off

A small screw driver in the "wick" hole should pop it. The little wick may fall out with the lens.

Absolutely - and make sure they all have the "wicks" since the car is heading for judging...
The OP may find the bulb contact is not good in which case there are a couple of fixes...if the spring action of the socket is binding some penetrant in the housing while working the contact base back and forth with a Popsicle stick works and if its a repro bulb adding some solder to the two connections at the base will often help..
