Packard 440 ignition wire on 66 L72

Can I install packard 440 solid core wire on my 66 L72 with stock TI ignition?

Robert, yes you can and you will be happy you did. you get a point deduction if you are having it judged. doesn't have the correct marking TVRS GM radio. You can have a rubber stamp made and put the correct markings on it. You will get better performance

What Bruce said... Depending if you run your radio shielding or not you may get more static on your radio.

Bob,

Many years ago I made up a set of the 440 wires for my 1965 L 78. Using the braided shielding from the TVRS set that I removed from the car, I inserted the 440 wires into the shielding and installed on the car. Could not detect any radio noise when running.

Spiral wound ignition wires newer way to go. Some electronic trigger ignition systems such as Pertronix and maybe MSD say do not use solid core wires.
