OK, I am circling back to a discussion held many years ago about the possibility / feasibility of a 1966 Corvette with an "IK" engine code.
I am aware of a car that has an IK engine code, and I am trying to figure out what the application would have been for such a car.
Basic information:
The car is a 1966 427 coupe.
The car has an M22 transmission with a VIN derivative that matches the car.
The car was build in February of 1966.
The car is a big tank car (I don't know why that would matter with regard to the engine code).
The engine code is "IK".
As I recall, NCRS has previously stated that an IK code would be for a 427 engine with a M22 transmission. Apparently, the M22 cars used a different clutch setup that was sufficiently different to warrant a different engine code. At least that is what I understand to be the case.
OK, please help educate me on IK engines.
