too much antifreeze?

Recently changed coolant on my 67 sb. Drained block as well as radiator. Supposed to hold 16 qts but after adding 8 qts Go5 antifreeze, would only take 6 qts distilled water even after several driving then let cool cycles so wouldn't think there's still air in system. So, I have a bit more than 50% antifreeze. I know water has better heat transfer than antifreeze but car runs in normal temp range after coolant change. Any harm in having over 50% antifreeze? Leave it alone or drain a qt or so and replace with distilled water?

Agreed. Most bottles of coolant have a table showing freeze and boiling temperatures for various levels of dilution. They often show up to 70% coolant. The Specific Heat of your mixture is a bit less than pure water but shouldn't make a noticeable difference in performance.

Keep an eye on coolant level; it may still go down after more driving.
